Bachelors of Science in Chemistry: Area of Concentratrion
Bachelors of Science in Chemistry: Area of Concentratrion is a very flexible
degree and attractive to students who want to receive a very broad training
in the sciences. Many students have an interest in Biology, Physics and
Math, in addition to Chemistry. Bachelors of Science in Chemistry: Area
of Concentratrion allows these students to train in Chemistry and choose
other divisional courses in which they are interested.
This degree is especially attractive to pre-medical students whose preparation
normally includes Chemistry, Math, Biology and Physics. Many pre-medical
students choose to couple this degree with a minor. They use Biology and
Math courses to complete their Area of Concentration and Physics courses
for a minor; or, they use Physics and Math courses to complete their Area
of Concentration and Biology courses for a minor. The current difficulty
in being admitted into medical school is causing students to seek a broader
scientific training, which will provide them more post-graduate flexibility.
